I love movies.
In my opinion they can change the world. There are so many types of movies and so many different purposes. Some are to simply make us laugh, to make us cry, some are to tell a story, about a place or a person in time; some are to make us realise the purity and greatness of a human soul; some are to show us how we could be, some to take us to an entirely different world where evil is always fought over by good. Some instead and to help us find ourselves, to inspire us, to make us believe that there is something better, to help us have faith in oursleves.
Today I suddenly had the idea that watching a movie is like having sex. The first time, you don't know what to expect, you don't know if you're gonna like it. But that first time is special. Then everytime you watch that same movie it's a bit different, you notice things you didn't notice the first time, the movie tells you different things, it feels different. Then again all movies are different, and watching different movies arouses different feelings, but it is always special. No thinking this may make me a freak, but seeing people you don't know be in a different world, telling you their story, with basic words and movements, how that can make sense of your world, change you and the way you see things...now that is pretty amazing in itself.

And no, you don't sound stupid. There is a logic in your answer. I think it is strictly true that drama is produced to have an impact on our lives. Not only that but it also has an impact on those that are acting it, which I'm sure you've experienced. So yeah, I think aswell that by watching someones life play out infront of you on a screen can show you things that you normally miss in everyday life. From that experience we learn lessons I believe...
