After throwing away all the garbage we had lunch in this pizzeria, which was cool. Then we all came back to beach and did different groups and we had like activities to build up trust, where team work is needed, like group trust falls and that. At first i have to say I was very scared, cuz I have trust issues... but it was amazing to feel that they actually catch you. We had to reflect on the activities and stuff, like how your team worked etc. After an hour in the beach we went to the camping site. There we put our tents and then we played a football match with teachers... was very fun. This is one of the things I love about this school... in England teachers see you in the corridor and they say "Morning, ladies". Here they say "Hey guys what's up?". So after the match teachers brought in pizza... again. Haha carbohydrates for the win!. Then we went and did more activities in the camping site, like all of us lining up on top of this like tiny wooden thing and having to reverse the order of the line.
So then we all played chubby bunny. For those of you who dont know, the game is pretty disgusting, it consists of seeing who can fit more marshmellows in their mouth, swallowing or chewing is not allowed..... we broke last year's record which was 14..... this year we got.... 22!! are we cool or what?
And then we divided into groups and had a contest to see who could tell the scariest story... and then of course the teachers told us their own, which was pretty good actually... one of the teachers was hiding upstairs and he started screaming... haha was funny.
So yeah then we all went to "bed" and you could hear everyone's conversation.. plus our tent was like downhill so... couldnt exactly sleep...
Anyway then the next morning teachers woke us up, we had breakfast and then we went on this high ropes course in the forest behind the place where we camped. It had two parts, the first one, was like with wooden thingies and obstacles and you had to pass them, like kinda an army training thing but in the air. The second one was amazing, it was all tirolinas... like those ropes that you like just swing through like a monkey. The fun thing was too, that like there were no teachers... you supposedly had to know how to tie yourself safely... and because they were all linked, once you start you can't go back until you finish. Was a bit scary when you jumped into the air and the cord wasnt tensed yet, but was very fun. Body in pain now tho...
Anyway then Mr Volchok brought us lunch. After that we did more team building activites... to like get team work. The one I loved most was this one in which there were two paralel vertical wooden thingies and they had ropes tied in a way that they created like 15 squares. Like a "spiderweb". The point was that we all had to get to the other side, through them without touching them. Plus, once one whole was used, that whole was permanently closed. So we left the big ones in the middle for the boys to go through there at the end. Of course the girls had to go through the bottom ones on the floor, and some had to be lifted and be passed through the high ones... I was the last girl and I had to be passed through the only high hole left. And my hair touched the rope, so I was punished... I could not physically help the boys pass, and if they accomplished it, then I would have to pass through the smallest high hole, with only one person at the other end to help me. It was the funniest, scariest, most exciting thing ever. I had to stay stiff, while the others got me, and flipped me sideways, and there was only one person at the other side. When I was halfway and I could hear everyone giving me different instructions of what not to move, I heard a voice next to me saying the simplest, most basic, most relaxing three words : "You're doing great". From that point onwards it was easy. And we won of course... beating all the other teams. So I think it was a pretty eventful two days. I loved it.
